Clairvo Technologies Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda, Tokyo; CEO: Riichi Yamada, hereafter "Clairvo") has started exclusive sales in Japan from February 2023 for the retinal imaging device, Ryanscope (hereafter "Ryanscope"), and image analysis software, Julie Eye (hereafter "Julie Eye"), developed by Medimaging Integrated Solution Inc. (Headquarters: Hsinchu City, Taiwan; CEO: Dr. Cheng Chu-Ming, hereafter "MiiS"). Clairvo has obtained manufacturing and sales certification for Ryanscope and Julie Eye based on the "Act on Securing Quality, Efficacy and Safety of Products Including Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices (hereafter "Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Act")."

Ryanscope is a lightweight, handheld retinal camera with an automatic shooting function that allows easy operation to capture and screen retinal photos.

Julie Eye applies deep learning, an AI-related technology, to detect symptoms such as white spots and bleeding from retinal photos captured by Ryanscope, and has a function to recommend examinations for follow-up observation or detailed examinations by specialists based on the results.

With the advancement of an aging society, there is an increase in eye diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, and glaucoma. It is said that humans obtain 80% of their information from vision, and the health of the eyes directly connects to the improvement of Quality of Life. Therefore, the formation of a social system that realizes early diagnosis and early treatment of eye diseases is important.

Clairvo and MiiS will contribute to the extension of healthy lifespan for people's eyes by providing Ryanscope and Julie Eye to the medical field in Japan, especially the primary care sector.
